They make ends meet thanks to their small street shop. Faced with precarious living conditions and the rise in violence in Haiti\, each of them wonders whether to stay or leave. Freda\, however\, wants to believe in the future of her country.” \nHaiti Film Fest was established by Haiti Cultural Exchange in 2011 and has featured a diverse array of films\, from award winning full-length features to compelling shorts\, by emerging and established filmmakers from throughout the US\, Haiti\, Canada\, Cuba\, and Europe. Needing money to survive\, the couple decides to rent the remaining habitable part of the villa to “Alex”\, a high-level foreign relief worker. He brings with him in the house\, Andrémise\, an ambitious 17 years old Haitian girl of modest background. Now the couple\, strained by the loss of their social position\, their ideals\, their dreams and desires must face this toxic intrusion.
