The Michael LeMorin Quartet takes its listeners on a tour from Haiti through the Caribbean to Brazil—but always back to Haiti. Styles travel from reggae to twoubadou (Haitian troubadour) to samba and bossa nova dance on a jazz foundation. A repertoire of classics alongside original compositions by Mr. LeMorin with lyrics in Kreyòl, French, and English speak to both mind and heart. This performance will celebrate springtime, love, and the incomparable country of Haiti.
