The rhythms of Africa have traveled throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. Some rhythms have kept their original forms but others have transformed into other rhythms but still with the root of African cultures. We will be taking a musical trip throughout the western hemisphere to discover the similarities, differences and impact of African drumming in the Western Hemisphere.
