Haiti Cultural Exchange (HCX) is celebrating 15 years in 2024!

HCX is a nonprofit organization established in 2009 to develop, present, and promote the cultural expressions of Haitian people. The theme of HCX’s 15-year anniversary is ‘Memwa/Evolisyon’ (Remembrance/Evolution). Remembering the last 15 years of community arts events that have honored the music, dance, film and literature of Haiti and its Diaspora, and looking forward to the future evolution of Haitian arts.

To commemorate this 15-year milestone, HCX will host a series of events throughout the month of June that pay homage to the community and the longtime artists that have helped to root the organization thus far, in addition to engaging new artists and communities around New York City.

HCX will be presenting over 20 multidisciplinary Haitian artists with venue partners; The Wythe Hotel, Brooklyn Public Library, Center for Fiction, Times Square, FiveMyles Gallery and more.

Join HCX in kicking off the celebration of Memwa/Evolisyon: Haiti Cultural Exchange 15-Year Anniversary. Show your support for Haitian arts and culture in New York City with a fun-filled evening of dancing, music, and tribute. We’re bringing DJ Gardy Girault back for a night of high energy and rara tech.
