Join Haiti Cultural Exchange on Thursday, January 11th for Haiti X New York featuring a drumming workshop with Jérôme “Junior Racine Mapou” Siméon & Markus Schwartz.
The evening will have an interactive demonstration, with audience participation, including rhythms of the “Tanbou Bas” – a family of circular, hand-held, frame drums. These styles of drumming are becoming increasingly rare in Haiti.

FiveMyles Gallery, 558 St. John’s Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11213
RSVPs not required, but highly recommended. Entry is first come, first served, so please make sure to come early if you’d like to grab a spot!
